I’m in the infant stages of looking at my next yak and I’m looking at pedal drives. In just peaking around, there isn’t a more feature rich boat than the lure 13.5 and they get no love in MS/LA. It’s a really smart layout and that seat looks incredible. Even has a wheel built in the keel to help transport. Outside of the front hatch (I’m a tankwell guy), not much to not like.
The problem with FF is they're a foreign company and built in Thailand. They do have the wheel and the best kayak seat made IMO.

Any new reports from Big lake? I really have nothing better to do anyway.

Still no trout and everyone has been pretty tight lipped about where they are catching reds because that is how they are salvaging their trips. I literally haven't seen a single trout in a picture in almost a week.
If I had to guess most are coming from the marsh around the salt ditch (which is private) or they are fishing the ship channel with live shrimp.

So, we should have it all to ourselves.

What part of the lake are y'all fishing?
Posted on 6/27/18 at 3:07 pm to Drunken Crawfish
Plan is west cove. It's the only place I've ever yakked.

I might end up there Saturday. Looks like storms at PAC, but BL looks ok. Will decide Friday.

I thought they were out of North Carolina? There are other small features I just appreciate like bungee leashes connected to the flush rod holders, removable bungee on the gear trac rear tank well, tie down straps behind the seat for crates/gear, open deck that is 100% covered with soft mat deck, etc.... I could go on but i won’t.

I went to the weirs with a buddy on Saturday. Wind was bad. Lucked up and caught 3 reds. Idk what it was now but the trout leading the star tourney is a 6 lb. From port fourchon. Used to be able to catch 6 lb trout on the regular. I've caught a 7 in black lake back in 2009

That's just their U.S. office. I think they're a New Zealand company.

I love the basin. I thought it looked a lil familiar. Pretty sure I've been through there or someplace very similar with my dad back in the day

Pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to get back there if my life depended on it.
