Let me preface this by saying I'm a Glock guy so don't blast me over this post. I just picked up a Taurus G3C at Academy on sale for $209. That is quite a deal for a 12 round 9mm pistol. It is about the same size as my Glock 43X at less than half the cost.

I just wanted an extra gun, just because Merica' and stuff, and the reviews on this one are pretty good for a taurus. Anybody had any real experience with the gun? Not interested in what you read online. I've already done that myself.

Thought I would share. Thanks.

Edit: Haven't shot it yet. Maybe this weekend.

Thats a good price I assume, as you stated. I probably would have done the same.

No experience with Taurus other than my TX22 which is a banger.

I've had a G2C for a while and the trigger sucks but it always goes bang when I want it to.

I bought one a couple years ago and it hasn't misfired or failed to eject 1 time.

I needed a cheap pistol to carry in the woods and not be worried about it. This gun seemed to fit the bill just fine.

Its not a bad gun. The trigger is not great though. I do like the double strike capability of mine

This was all about what I was expecting. A decent gun, not great, but decent. But for 200 bucks I thought it was a great deal. I just want a knock around gun that I don't mind getting banged up.

I've seen this gun as high as $299 in the past.

I bought the G3XL, it performs well and for the price. I am far from an aficionado.

As I post this, I have one loaded with HP rounds setting on the end table by my couch. Probably shot 250-300 rounds through it and so far no misfeeds etc.

For that price I'm tempted to grab another one.

Have a G2 and G3. No issues with any of them. Solid for the price. Great for shooting.

No issues other than the finish ruining of in some places due to the abuse.

Great gun for the price. Excellent for what it does where it is.

Shoots speer gold dots just fine.

You can be rough with it in and out of the truck or camp bag and not worry about esthetics.

Guy in town sells them cheap and if you bring cash you get a nice discount on anything in his place.

Fella on YouTube did a 10k round review on it.
