I buy a lot of these things because I use them for various activities including base layer for hunting. I see people praise and trash the same brands, and I always thought that was puzzling.

Recently, I took a closer look at some of the UA ones I have for work outs. I only buy UA from outlets or reduced racks. One is clearly more comfortable. The feel is the best of any synth shirt I've ever owned. The other two are just ok. Same exact tags with same Heat Gear wording.

The difference? All three made in different countries. The one made in China is clearly the best feeling synth shirt I've worn from any manufacturer. So, keep that in mind when buying them.

Question 1. Do you guys ever notice stink in these that only appears after you've worn them a bit? The ones I really sweat in come out of the dryer just fine. Let me leak out one drop of sweat, and it smells like I've worn it all day. What method or products can get rid of this?

2. Favorite brands of these shirts?

Adidas is the best in my opinion.

Alx is correct about country of origin, I get hats made for work, some OC model. But if you get a batch from Vietnam everyone wants another one. They just fit better. The pakistan ones wont fit on a person with a normal cranium

Stink shirts are a phenomenom that cant be remedied. Your only hope is prevention by using the detergents that are for active wear clothing. Persil and Halo are the best...but really it is a losing battle. I went to the soft cotton ones about 3 years ago, they seem to last a bit longer and they soak up my sweat better when I wipe my face with them.

There isn't one. It's a stinky bacteria that likes Polyester. If you want to get rid of the stink, switch fabrics.

The adidas ones do not do it like UA does.

I have had great luck with them, but the weave seems looser, maybe the detergent can get in there and kill the stink??

It survives both the wash and the heat of the dryer? I've been told by a guy that works for a commercial washer to try peroxide and/or vinegar.

That's the truth. Like someone else mentioned, there's active wear detergent but I don't think it helps.

All my gym clothes get washed on the hottest setting with my towels and a little oxy clean in addition to the arm and hammer detergent we buy. I've never had an issue with the stink, even if I left a sweaty pair of shorts or shirt in my gym bag for 3 days.
