Suppressor purchase & emails

I finally took the plunge and purchased my first suppressor this past Saturday, 17th. Once the username and login was submitted their computer took forever to load. Once it did, it went back to the info/username form I had just completed. Said they never seen that happen before. I refilled it out and submitted again, icon popped up you’ve already submitted. Okay, cool, what’s next? You wait for an email, no big deal, right? I didn’t get an email till lunch yesterday, 19th, which was just a welcome to eforms email. Called the FFL and they said that’s not the email they need to proceed. Anyone ran into this issue on their first purchase? I’m aware of the wait time and all but didn’t think it would start with the dang filling, too!

After I filed for mine I got an email saying that the application was submitted. This is my second one so I already had an eforms account. The dealer said the next email I get will be the approval email.

Yea.. I understand my new account has to be confirmed and all just surprised it’s taking this long to move to the next step.

My first one got disapproved after 18 months for “missing information”. Got that fixed, filed again and it was around 8 months. From purchase to approval was over 3 years and 3 months (there was a gap in there getting the “missing information” sorted out). Now I’m seeing people getting them back within a week and I’m on week 2 of waiting for my second one. Long waits don’t surprise me at this point, I just try not to think about it anymore lol

I got one in 3.5 days and another in 4 days.
Individual and counting from the time the info was submitted into eforms.

The government hates me apparently. Filed 8/6. I feel like I’m just being greedy after that last wait I had though lol

I filed 8/1…still waiting. Sucks.

Hear you. I was told 5 days to a week and here I am counting days and it isn’t even submitted yet.

So you’re just waiting for the email to certify? I had to do that on my first one too. I think I filed in December, got the email to certify in March, got approved in July.

It went quickly for us. Email, login, create account, forms submitted and one of us was not approved due to an answer on the form. It was resubmitted and approved within 2 days.
You may get your approval email really soon so hang in there.

All I’ve done is pay for it and fill out the info/create username/passcode page. Until I get the second email with a number on it according to the FFL I’m at a stand still.

Who did you get it through? I got both of mine through Silencer Shop and it took a week or two between paying for it and filling out my information and them having everything together and ready to submit. I did single shot trusts.

Filed mine on 8/16. Got approved at noon today. 3 working days!

Sounds like he’s waiting on an email for the NFA e-forms system.
I had my e-file set up several years ago when I applied for a stamp for an SBR.

I just looked back and when I purchased mine through silencer shop, it took over 2 weeks for it to be ready to submit. That was with a trust though.
