I've just recently started hunting in St.Francisville along the river and was wondering if anyone hunted in the area and knew when the rut usually begins ... Thank you in advance

You'll start seeing activity as early as now but I've always scheduled my vacation for the first 2 weeks of Jan and always killed a deer chasing

Me and one to two other guys looking for a private lease in this area. We are not opposed to a hunting club if the set up is right and they have a quality management plan. But really looking for something of our own. We would even be open to buying if it was the right place at the right price. Do you have any leads or mind me asking how you got your land to hunt. If you do I can post my email thanks.

I'm in Clinton, so a little east, and killed a 20" 10 pt chasing does last weekend. For us we are really getting into the rut right now. Ought to be a fun next week or so.

It's family land that we have had forever ... I always hunted our other property in bayou ghoula and just recently started hunting this ... the land around us is the riverbend hunting club which is now only so the management as far as I can tell is great ... from what I heard the area is pricy when it comes to leases and what not ... I was just lucky enough to already have it in our family

Pretty sure Riverbend Hubting Club was disbanded about 15 years ago? Due to infighting and security concerns. Bayou Goula? You will do better by the nuke.

As far as I know they are still a club .. you have to be a worker at the plant to be a member from what I've been told ..

We have always done very well I'm bayou gahoula but yeah I've liked this area much better so far
