I’ve been holding off on this waiting for the stamp fee to go away. Looking for some recommendations on models you like

30 cal - I need 3 of these for the kids. Currently running 5.56 ARs with 22lr kit but will eventually move them up to 5.56 on a 8” barrel and eventually probably rebarrel up to 300blk. Need them to be tough because they’re kids and reasonable because I need 3

30 cal - for my 300blk. Weight and performance are more important than price. It’s my work horse pig gun.

6.5 creedmore - it’s already a big gun, ar10, but if anyone uses one successfully that isn’t a foot long I’d love to hear how it runs and how much reeducation you get.

45 acp - going on my USP 45 because screw its why not

9mm - don’t even have anything yet but a frt mp5 or ar9 are on my wish list.

And most importantly which big silencer companies were fighting the tax stamp removal so I can not give them any money.

Are you wanting 7 different ones or cross compatibility? I see you want 3 for the kids, do you want those to be your only 3?

Whats the minimum number you want?

FWIW, I recommend going dedicated can per rifle and skip the "universal" phase that most people start out in. Everyone I know who has them started out with a big huge universal rig, eventually bought 6 more, and wish they had just started out with the 6 they like now.

Dedicated for each gun. Should have clarified that.

So 7. Unless anyone has a compelling reason for me to add an 8th while I have the trust docs all pulled up.

AB A10 7.62 for the kids rifles. Less than $500, works very well, extremely tough.

Idk about your other rigs. AB Raptor would have been my suggestion for the other long guns, but the airlock zero gravity is getting a lot of love right now and I havent seen one in the wild yet.

You need a rimfire can.

Those are perfect

And yeah good call on the rimfire. I can rebarrel my 10/22 for a threaded one.

I dont own one, but my suppressor nerd buddy says dead air mask is the best rimfire can.

Otherwise, good luck. Gonna be a busy couple of months for the suppressor dealers.

I’m a dead air fan so that’s good to know. Appreciate the input

I don’t recommend putting a can on an 8” 5.56 barrel. It’s going to blast the hell out of the baffles. I run a surefire RC2 on my 11”. You will probably find some with iconel internals that can take it but it’s going to take a beating.

I might switch them straight to 300 subs when I get them off the 22 lr. I do like them running short barrels because it’s so much easier for them to control.

Sounds like you need a new gun.

Always got to find a good reason to get a new one

Always I was eying that carbon 10/22 I saw you post.

I actually only have 2 of the 3 kids ARs right now. I need to order parts for the third since my nephew just turned 10 and that’s when I build them their gun. Then I need to figure out this 9mm build I want to do. I have a few super safeties and frts laying around that need a home.

I believe Silencer Central fought against NFA removal

Yeah I’ll probably never use them. I use silencer shop because I’m setup and it makes it really easy to get my stuff.

Send everything to ESAD right off sawdust and 45 for a quick pickup.

I was good for a while and didn’t buy anything while transiting from BR to Houston. I knew once I got settled it was going to be a problem.

To make it worse I got gift cards for Christmas. Now off to Bass Pro to drop 4 times what the gift cards are worth.

CAT ODB in inconel to stand up to that short of a barrel in 5.56, but also perform well in 30 cal applications. Will be a bit heavy though for kids.

My CAT mob is incredible in this application

Saigon Peacekeeper from CAT is dropping soon, if it performs for 45 acp anything like the Street Crack does for 9mm on pistols then it should be a winner as well. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m a fan of everything CAT. I have several of their cans and they are outstanding.

In regards to rimfire, I have a Dead Air Mask and it is a great can. The only downside to it compared to CAT’s offerings here is the weight. Performance wise the 3 are very close, but the 2 CAT’s are substantially lighter.

It’s an illness. Once I get these cans, my nephews AR and my 9mm done I’m turning my attention to night vision and thermals.

Been hearing a lot of people loving their CATs. Looking like that might end up on my 300 to replace the el cheapo one I have on it now.

I use a JL on my 300blk, it’s extremely quiet but it is a full size can similar in size and performance to the PTR Vent 1. There’s so many 30 cal offerings it’s hard to recommend one due to all the variables. CAT alone has the JL, ODB, DD, the new Rat that is specifically for 300blk, and the Akbar coming out for 2026.

I love my JL. Its currently on my 308 looking for deer. It spends most of its time on my 300 black out Cva pistol. It is stupid quiet with subs. My 7 year old loves shooting it. You definitely need a rimfire as well. My rugged oculus is nice. It sounds as quiet as my buddy’s mask. Jump in. Suppressors make shooting fun again. I have shot more this past year than I have in the last ten years
