So from yal in the know, how good of a deal is this. Like I said I would really like to hold off for another month or so.
Since Aimpoint pros run about $400, you are essentially getting an above average $1000 rifle for $650. I am strongly considering this. Unless you want one of the top notch $2000+ high dollar brands, this should be the one you buy. Much better than the basic PSA, Bushmaster, DPMS, etc

I'm tempted to pull the trigger here. Will be my first AR 15 ever.

Yea, a bottom of the line Colt will be about $1,000....and it won't have the $400 aimpoint

Just do it. My first was a bushmaster. Decided I wanted a carbine and traded it in on a upper end rockriver. Didnt lose any money on the deal.

No tax from PSA. Find a cheap FFL. A $20 guy in Hammond, $25 at Vincents in Covington. $10 for NRA members in Harahan (where I go to)

I built from scratch, but the upper and lower receivers together were like $380. The upper was a BCM 16" midlength. I just gutted it and swapped everything over to the mega upper receiver. The lower has Daniel Defense lpk, Magpul UBR stock, ergo grip, JP silent captured spring for buffer. Hard to say what I have in it total, the UBR and JP spring tack on quite a bit themselves.

So I'm an AR noob.

It comes with an aimpoint. Is there anything else I would need to add?

I know the choices can be great but I would be looking for just a basic target shooting, hog head shooting, and zombie killing AR 15.

I would buy a BCM bolt and keep the PSA bolt as a spare.
