Me and some padnuhs got together to cook a gumbo tonight and decided to build a fire in my backyard in the fire pit. After a few hours and a few bourbons we go in to fix our plates leaving the fire unattended for 5 minutes or so. Somehow the grass around the fire pit caught on fire and burned the grass around it causing about a 4ft diameter burnt circle. Luckily we managed to catch it fairly quickly and there is still some green growing under the charred area. Is there anything that I can do in the next few weeks to make it come back for the spring?

Might need to salt it to replenish the sodium burned off.

I wouldn't be surprised if that spot came back better. I've seen where some people burn their entire lawns off late every winter. I think there's a poster here who burns his Bermuda. I've never done it. I scalp mine before greenup.

Many farmers burn their pastures every year and the grass comes back stronger.

Come to my house and repeat your mistake, but make sure you burn all 3 acres of grass around my house. Feel free to get the azaleas and crepe myrtles too.

I recommend you dig up some plugs and place in that spot. Grass burrs or some other unwanted grass is most likely going to grow there. That spot will grow back on its own as said.
