Found this little guy in the flower beds. What is it?

It is brown. Working on the pic

Make it your goal to not kill ANY that you see. Instead, get a hose or a broom and scare them away. Just make sure to give them an escape route. They will likely escape and never return unless you have their food source, and that is the real thing you need to get rid of.

That little guy isn't looking for anything larger than a slug or a bug.
