Little something I found out in a F150 the other day where the compressor wasn't coming on.
The two wires that run to the low pressure switch had rubbed together inside the loosely wrapped electric tape about 6" from the switch.
Maybe you'll run into a problem on one like this and remember this post.
BTW it was an 08 model.

those can be the worst.
had a bronco couple weeks ago. the wirings to the trans [aod] were shorted out and had 3 cylinder cutting in and out.
was a bitch
