I’m going camping this weekend and am wondering if any of you have good advice for shooting some rabbit, quail, or grouse. Is the best thing to walk trails/game trails? Tia.

Your odds aren't great for any of those without dogs. Rabbits would probably be your best bet. You can stomp through thick brush and try to shoot them when you flush them. This will require a shotgun. Otherwise, you might find one or two feeding in the open very early or late in the day.

Yeah I’ve got a yildiz I’m bringing. Might bring my bow for deer.

I forget that's legal in some states.

Wear orange. It's still deer season.

Can you not do this everywhere? Don’t think I’ve ever taken a rabbit without being in a truck bed with a spotlight and a .22.

Louisiana rabbits can only be hunted during the season and during the day. If I’m not mistaken some states let you hunt rabbits year round.
