Sitka Customer Service

Is A+, FYI.
I've had a Sitka Delta wading jacket for several years (probably 5 or 6). I hunt with the jacket on probably 80% of my hunts and it's been put through the ringer without issue. This past season, one of the cuff straps that velcros to make a waterproof seal around the wrist tore off getting slammed in a boat hatch. I didn't worry about it until the end of the season. I called Sitka to get an RMA/repair number about two weeks ago expecting to pay $40-$50 to get it fixed. They sent me a prepaid label, I sent it off to them, and I got a notification yesterday that it was on its way back. They charged me nothing for the repair.
The repair had to have been pretty minimal, but regardless. Sitka catches a lot of crap for its price (deservedly so in some instances), but this was the most painless customer service/warranty/repair experience I can remember. It's a shame that good customer service is so rare these days, but I thought it deserved a mention.

Accidental down vote there... Aside from that, good info to know. I had called about a similar issue with some browning gear a season or two ago. Got quoted roughly 6 weeks for the repair plus over $60 in costs not counting shipping. Just ended up getting new stuff.

I've called and talked a few times about sizing. They found A guy my size in the warehouse and had him sized up

I had a similar experience with Yeti.
I bought a brand new 75 qt tundra and took it fishing in my buddies boat. He had an ice chest holder made out of aluminum which was almost the perfect size for my ice chest, however it was a little bit snug and I had to sit on the ice chest to get it all the way in there. It ended up denting the cooler. I called Yeti and they sent me a brand new 75 qt with a prepaid label. The took the dented ice chest back no questions asked.
Yeti gets the same kind of flak as Sitka does (I have both), but I feel like they definitely take care of their customers as well.

You dented a Yeti?
What do you weigh 800 lbs?

I have similar story with Patagonia. They just sent me brand new product instead of fixing it.

The ice chest holder dented the yeti, not me.

I am waiting to see their serviceable waders because of this very reason

Costa Del Mar used to do this as well. Now they want to charge almost the cost of the original pair for new lenses.

Once I get my Sister in law signed up on Leoadventures I'm going to start swapping over to Sitka for all my gear. I only have their baselayers now but it's good stuff And at Leoadventures discount price it's just as affordable as anything else.

That's good and all, but I've yet to have a deer or duck comment on whether or not they would still be alive had I had on Sitka gear versus my old Carhartts, Columbia and Army surplus hunting gear. When they do, I'll switch.
