Hearing that filing for an individual is faster than a trust? Looking online seeing all sorts of different results, few days up to a few months.
Any experience?

My last two individuals e-files went through in 3 days (one was in Feb or March and the other was July or Aug).
Took Silencer Shop a couple of weeks to get everything ready to file the paperwork.
I understand a trust is taking a month or two but others have experience there, where I do not.

individual is coming back anywhere between 24 hours and 1 month. Typical is about 2 weeks.
Once you have the approval, then file a trust with a local lawyer. Much faster

My single shot was started on 12-21 through SS and got the notification 12-26 from the ATF that my application had been changed to submitted/in process, it's all up to them now.

This is the exact answer I got from Bowie last month. That week, he processed single shot trusts from the same week all the way back to 4 months. He said they tend to come in waves and no factor that makes one take longer than another.

So if I wanted to buy a silencer I saw under the counter at a store do I have to have that in place when I ask for it, o does that just start the process?
I’m ignernt on the subject.

I have a trust and do efile. My last 2 took less than 5 days. And 2 prior to that took under 60 days. This is all in the last 6 months.

I’ve been doing individual on my past four cans, all in 24-48 hours. Buddy does trusts and it’s always 4-8 weeks. Bowie and SS take a few days to certify for whatever reason as well. When I file individual I’m certified before I walk out my local shop.

I filed through a traditional trust. Pending 12/5, approved 12/11.

Form 6 months dealing with these jackasses, having to get a US rep involved.
Individual Auto Approve 24-72 hours
Trust you only auto approve 3-5 days
Individual no auto approve 7-14 days
Trust you only no auto approve 3-4 weeks
Trust with family everyone auto approved 3-4 weeks
Trust with family someone doesn’t auto approve 2 months to a year.
