smell rotten, because it is. The organic matter will start to decompose when exposed to oxygen. The bacteria will give off their gases and it will smell like straight shite. That is why neighborhood ponds dont to it even though it is the cheapest way to fix this problem.

Iberville Terrace? I grew up fishing that pond. used to catch gigantic bluegills.

eta we always referred to it is a lake. that would be a pretty big pond

If it's Iberville Terrace, I'm pretty sure that lake isn't 10-15 acres (maybe more like 2-4 acres IIRC).

OP may be referring to the "Kleinpeter Lakes" that lie between Oak Hills and Siegen. Not sure how big they are.

Yep. Looking at satellite image you are correct. I was quoting what one of the guys told me. But yeah that's the one in Iberville Terrace.

The image on Google maps has some lilies visible that are a result of the issue with shallow water.
