Sights for a Pistol Caliber Carbines (PC Charger)

i'm fishing for thoughts before purchasing a sight for a Ruger PC Charger.
use of firearm is for home defense (it is a 9mm)
options..
#1
Trijicon ACOG. the simplicity and "always on" of it is very appealing... but it costs more than the gun. (which is the negative). also i'm not sure if i want/need magnification. and i worry it is overkill for my purpose with this gun.
#2
a holographic sight. would costs about half as much as the ACOG. it is known. i've used a EOTECH for years on a ar15..and have been a happy customer.. but has a battery. and murphy's law states it will go out when i actually need it.
#3
a cheapo red dot. it shouldnt cost any more than half the cost of the holographic. i can order on amazon and have it at door in the morning. negatives.. unknown quality and that bettery.
any recommendations on placing optics/sights on smaller pistol style rifles?

Holosun and Sig both are good quality cheaper options with "shake awake" features. An ACOG on a 9mm carbine is a bit over the top, plus the BDC reticle is kinda moot.

Grab a red dot by one of these and enjoy.
I have a Sig Romeo 5 with the motion activation. No problems over the last couple years.

I put a Vortex Sparc II on my little AR-9

A Remington 870, 12 or 20 gauge...
An acog has next to zero value for home defense applications, and I love my acog and used the hell out of it in Afghanistan.
If you are firm on the charger then I’d recommend the Leupold Delta Point Pro. LINK

i ended up a Sig Sauer red dot..fits nicely.
these PPC guns can *almost* be carried concealed(in a laptop bag)
..fun to shoot.
//i agree on the remington.. but i already had a semi-auto 12 gauge..and was happy with it.
