Should I buy it, 300 blk

Have an offer to buy a 300blk, PSA lower and DD upper with optics. He can't recall the brand of the optics.
$1800, I've always wanted a 300 blk but don't really need one. Doing a little research I would guess I am getting it at cost of the upper and lower. I believe it has a scope on it.
What's the board say?

Optics can go from $50 Walmart special to several thousand dollars depending on what it is so whether you’re getting a good deal is impossible to say without know what optic is on it. $1800 for an AR by itself that’s built at home is a terrible deal and someone looking to cash in on the gun control talk right now.

Well a PSA lower is less than $300 for sure

Never heard of them, but center point optics. Looks like a $50-$100 scope. Amazon reviews state it floats and crosshairs are off center a lot.
Honest opinion, I’d stay away from that rifle. Looks like a full length barrel too. My understanding is that the optimal barrel length for the 300 blk round is 9ish inches. Go build yourself a pistol and put what you want, not Walmart parts attached to a $1500 upper.

Id let him keep the scope and the mount.
Are you sure thats a Daniel defense upper? Might be a dd barrel.
It's also keymod which has died.
ETA: I really don't think that's a factory DD upper. It's definitely not a $1800 rifle. Probably more like $800.

That’s definitely a Bubba build. I’d just stay away from that personally. $1800 can buy plenty of fine rifles, new.

You can get a brand new DD rifle or pistol for about 2k.
