The brand name is EAA. The barrel length is 5 or 6 inches. It is not a stubnose.

I guess I technically have five .357 Magnums.
1977 Dan Wesson Pistol Pac 15-2VH. According to the documents the retail was $550 for this kit.
Can't beat the blueing on these older guns.
Picked up the Ruger so I'd have a .357 mag I could actually take out and shoot without worrying about it getting scuffed...

What year did you attend the Academy? I did in 1976, yea, I am old. We had to qualify with the Mags at 50 yards then. I had a nickel model 19 that I bought for $123 through payroll deductions of $5 per check with no interest. Had my choice of the nickel 19 or a Colt Python in nickel for $249. Boy did I mistake not buying both for $10 a check! $20 a month was a lot when you made $649 a month.

Try this drill. Make sure cylinder is empty! Take a dime and balance it on the barrel. Dry fire until you can do it without the dime falling off. I learned this as a young trooper. Have helped many novices since. Worked on all of them.

Probably one of the last classes with wheel guns.

That dime balance training would be based on dry firing double action, I presume?

Yes. Also helps SA shooters. Makes you develop a smooth trigger pull and prevents flinching for some.
