Here is a Bravo Company Machinery complete upper. They are widely considered best bang for the buck in the AR world. $625 is a great deal, and all you would need is a completed lower. Bolt carrier group and charging handle included which is a nice plus, and BCM makes some of the best bcg's. VLTOR is a high quality charging handle.

I have a RRA and I really like it. Not that I would know good from bad. This is the only AR that I have ever owned.

Edit: Not counting the 6.8 I bought due to not being able to find bullets.

I'm not really into building stuff. I'd much rather buy it already built. I do not get enjoyment out of putting things together mysefl

Totally understand. Putting an upper and lower together isn't building, it's just sliding in 2 pins. You will have to split the upper and lower to clean your AR anyway. It's still cheaper to buy the completed lower and upper separate, which is why I suggested it.

RRA is a very good rifle for the price. olgoi khorkoi snatched a sweet one from me on Bayoushooter a few months back. He's very good with ARs too, he can be of help if he drops in.

I have a complete Rock River lower that I need to finish out. I've been holding out for a Larue upper but I've been hesitant to pull the trigger on one. They are awfully proud of them.

I have 2 complete ARs so there is no rush.

Much less. As with everything, depends what you want to spend. You can spend 600 on a Noveske (what i have) or 200 on a cheaper one. Lower qualities don't vary too too much. Where you want to have the highest quality parts you can afford is in the upper.

I'll find you one, hang on.

Here's a really great lower. You could probably haggle it down to 375. Daniel Defense is one of the top brands there is.

Thanks for all of your help. I may reach out to you in a few days. Still have to decide if I want to drop 1K on a gun

No problem. Shoot me an email and I'll help out your AR journey. I can find you some cheaper uppers and lowers, it just takes time for the good deals to pop up. I'll be on the lookout every day.

Thanks! As of right now, 1K is a little much. I may just end up looking into an AR style .22LR to mess around with

Solid work in this thread. I'm looking for an upper as well. I just finished putting my trigger assembly in my lower.

Totally understand. I can probably get you a quality rifle for around 800-850 total. I'll be on the lookout for you.

my main man. What kind of trigger did you put in? How much are you willing to spend on an upper?

I'm making a list of stuff to look for for everyone.

I actually just got that Bushmaster from Cabela's a few days ago. Not going to be here on black friday so I figured I might as well go ahead and get it. Put 60 rounds through it at the range yesterday and it's very smooth. The bushmaster red dot is kinda tricky to get sighted in right though. Other than that I really like the gun. I'm no AR expert but it sounded like a good deal from a good manufacturer and I jumped on it.

I've got a Bushmaster MOE Dissipator that I am pretty much seriously dating now.

Love that thing. Price was right. It does what I want it to do. What's not to love?

Love the MOE. So comfortable. Have not shot the dissipator before. A range trip may be in order
