Buy a completed upper and a completed lower and put them together, then you can learn all of the parts and whatnot while still being able to shoot. When building from scratch, you can't shoot so you're constantly thinking about what parts to buy and how soon you want to shoot, so you won't wait for the best deals.
I'm constantly on snipershide and m4carbine (do NOT go to ar15.com. they are fricking retards) checking for good deals on uppers and lowers, so I will keep yall posted on some good deals.

It's not $300 more just for the rails, RRA is a much better rifle than Bushmaster (excluding ACR).
