I could have killed dozens of reds from my KC if I had a bow on me.

Sometimes it's easier to hit them than to make em bite

You ain't lying. I've dragged 2 or 3 different lures within inches of the mouth of the same bull red without bites when he was less than 3 feet from my yak. If I was quick I could have stabbed him with a pocket knife.

Might be possible but night bowfishing seems awfully hard. Would take some thinking.

I was thinking daytime sight bowfishing.
Spot, creep, stick.

I actually talked to a guy who works for KC and said they had some people bowfish out of them.

Honestly I love the new Ascend. I own a Native Redfush, but wish I had the raised seat.

Do you think it's possible to stand in that Ascend?
Posted on 5/1/13 at 6:14 am to GeauxElliott
Impossible. To stand you'd need a KC, Ultimate, Jackson or something similar. Standing is overrated.

I would go to a demo day or 2 and try a few yaks out. Definitely get something with a mirage or trolling motor. Trying to fish along a bank, against the wind, while paddling is very difficult.
I am not a fan of KC because of how high the sidewalls sit out of water. On a windy day they act like a sail.

Buy a paddleboard. Look at BOTE boards for ideas.

Depends on your fin. I have a 10 inch fin on mine, but they sell flexible 7 inchers. You don't have to put the fin in either. A foot and you'll be fine, in the shallower sections you can step on the front to lift the fin.
The BOTE has two positions for the back rest, the forward position looks pretty cool.
ETA: I can't see how this wouldn't make the paddling part more enjoyable.
ETA: Those are the two different positions. It wouldn't track well with the setup in the middle.

That looks fun for summer fishing when you are planning on getting wet. I still fish when it's cold though. Full waterproof gear, staying warm, etc. I would fall off a paddle boat at some point Get a camo KC and you can duck hunt as well.
Obviously different strokes for different folks.

Sounds like those KC's really do it all.
