True story: A possum cop gave a buddy of mine a littering ticket for shooting a stray dog just off his property line

A littering ticket?

Was that a way of saying, "wait till he's on your land next time." ?

So, your buddy shot a stray across his property line and on public property?

I'm pretty much insane and going to hell anyway, so I think my next hobby will be shooting dog shooters. What's a good caliber for people? Is .223 enough.

I had two dogs run all over my stand last weekend. Thought definately crossed my mind, but I would be pissed if someone shot my dogs.

At what point does a dog become"wild" enough to shoot?

Of people? What are the various breeds, and which ones are toughest to take down?

I'm not sure but i got game pics of a pack of 5 or so with racoons and rabbits in their mouth. I'd say those are "wild"

I know people who hunt near towns, I can definitely see that you may come across a pet occassionally. Seems like you'd just have to deal with that due to your choice of places to hunt. But we hunt way out in the middle of nowhere. 2 miles from the closest public street and there isn't even any homes on that road for a few miles. Any dogs we see are normally fair game.

Well, that is littering.

He should have just left it for the coyotes and buzzards to eat over the next 2 days.
