Imma go shite in your yard to jerk. Shame on you for calling out JAB

There's already loads of dog shite back there, so have at it. Also, the old fella at the entrance of the trailer park doesn't take kindly to new folks, so don't be surprised if he questions you.

Any consideration to gear ratios. I think Chronarch may have options and Calcutta doesn't.

My only issue regarding the chronarch is how its gonna hold up in salt, that's what it's gonna see 95% of the time. I KNOW the Calcutta can hold up to the salt, and I can catch red/mangrove snapper with it without issues.

What size Calcutta you using for snapper?

Sounds like you have made up your mind.

I use my buddy's 400 or my uncle's 700. I've caught a few on my grandpa's old 200 that just bit the dust. It was one of the first few to come out.
While I know a 200 isn't ideal for lite offshore use, it can still be effective.

I think so too, I just keep hearing about how awesome the chronarch is. I may just eventually buy both.

IIRC the first Calcuttas were 250 and 400. If you're looking for a snapper reel why waste your money on a casting reel just buy something like a Penn that can drop line out and reel it back up.

I haven't tried the chonarch, but I fished with a new curado Saturday and was less than impressed. I did just get another Calcutta in the mail today.

yea you gotta get the older curados

I'm interested in how the new calcutta D's are. I'm probably just gonna get a B for right now though, don't feel like dropping close to 4 bills on a new reel at this point in my life.

Notice difference from the B to be honest.

You think its worth the extra $30?
