Just moved from CENLA to Baton Rouge. Spoiled - was used to having my wood ducks and occasionally some teal or green heads before getting to the office.
Going to scout Sherburne tomorrow - any suggestions fellas?
Have a kayak layout blind and jam up Lab...not afraid of getting off the beaten path.

Section 120 is your best bet. Follow the guys with boats to the launch from the whiskey bay exit.

I too am spoiled with a honey hole. I have lived in Baton Rouge for almost 8 years and never duck hunted around here. I will continue to go to back to my honey hole vs trying to duck hunt around here.
Wake up 30 minutes before shooting time walk in with hip boots and shoot this in an HR.

I live in Lafayette but never hunted Sherburne. Is it mostly flooded timber in that area? I haven't duck hunted in years and really only go there to shoot at the range.

Flooded timber/swamp and bayous. Mostly wood ducks from what I've seen, although I'm sure you can kill teal and big ducks at other times.
