Update for all those that are interested. Rode out to the South Farm this afternoon, no gear, just to scope out the scene.

Still to early in the season. Guys that had been out there all morning only had half of a sack to show for it. Probably needs another 2-3 weeks of the hot weather before you can go out there and catch your limit.

Also, keep in mind the bridge is out that you take to get to the levee road so you have to go down LA 76 (I think) a bit until you can cross and get up on the levee and back track to the south farm

It's not to hard. Just follow the road your on until you get to Musson Ln take that to the levee and hop on top the levee road. It's gravel and was pretty muddy and torn up so dont bring a prius, like someone had out there today

Bookmarked

We are (hopefully) going to get out there early and give it our best.
And will probably call someone on Monday and order a sack or two, just in case

Any of y'all have pics of craw fishing on sherbourne? Always been curious of that. My only experience, being from NELA, is ditch crawfishing.

Off 190, turn onto LA 77 which turns into LA 76. When you get to Munson Ln turn right and take that to the levee

Edit: LINK

quote:

From Baton Rouge take Interstate 10 West, then take the Ramah exit and travel on the levee road north about 2 miles. After passing two cattle guards, take the levee ramp across the levee to where a parking area is located. From Hwy. 190 travel approximately 13 miles south on the East Guide Levee Road to the South Farm entrance.
