It's not so much love. Bang/buck. There are smoother shooting guns out there, but for $500ish you get a pistol that you know will go bang every time, no matter how much you abuse it. I was originally gonna pony up a little extra and go XDm 45, but then I saw this

Nah...too many issues with being finicky with different types of ammo.

i can vouch for this, kinda. mine used to be pretty finicky with different ammo. since i've made a point to pull it out of my center console and shoot it a little more often it seems to be less finicky. i've had it for 7 or 8 years and the first 6 years of that it had maybe 200 rounds down the pipe. i've probably put 1000 through it in the last year. for $300 it isnt THAT bad.
