I have a 1980's Marlin Model 60 .22 caliber (actually the gold trigger Longhorn commemorative edition) that I want to put a scope on for my daughter to use for squirrel hunting. I don't want to spend more than $100 or so on it. Any recommendations? Am I way too low on cost?

Vortex makes a 2-7x33 scope that is ideal for .22s

I suggest buying a dedicated rimfire scope that has the parallax set at 50 yds. Pretty sure the receiver uses 11mm rings.

This, or one where the parallax is adjustable down to 20m or less
