Just picked up a browning xbolt micro midas in 7mm08 "for the kids". Had some gift cards and it was on sale at Academy. Mounted a leupold vxr on it last night. Sweet little gun.

Anyone have a comparison between this and the mossberg patriot youth model?
Mossberg will have an adjustable trigger, and fluted bolt which is nice. You'd have to move up to the Axis II to get an Accutrigger. I have a full size patriot in 308 that is sub MOA all day with Corelokts. My son shoots a 100ATR compact (predecessor to the patriot) in 308. He's piled up a ton of animals with it too. Savage will probably have more aftermarket support should you decide to upgrade later.

True, but the regular trigger on the Axis can be adjusted at home w/o much work. Just be careful and go slowly.

If it’s anything like her cricket or a daisy BB gun, it aughta be good enough for now.
