Sounds like the mag is a minor issue, but is it just with the Boyd stock in place? Or was it that way with the factory stock also? I have a Marlin bolt action .17 but have been considering the A17. Have you put many rounds through yours? I know they had to create a special design for the charging handle and action. How does it function? Should be a nutria killing machine!

the 10-rnd mag seats funny in the factory stock too...the issue is solved by locking the bolt back first, but unfortunately theres no "last round hold open" feature so its kind of a PIA.

put about 200 rnd thru it without a hiccup
it runs like a sewing machine
