Buy Lifetime rigs and save yourself frustration on the back end. I changed all my rigs to Lifetime several years ago and it was the best thing I ever did with decoys.

when you tie them up, make sure the weight and the decoy are on the same side of the rig. I spent half the night untangling that shite.

I thought we established the perp blamed that on me as a diversion. I think they were trying to stall you getting set up on purpose.

Ironic that "Lifetime" rigs only come with a 3 year warranty

These will prevent a lot of tangling, put 2 per each bundle of decoys - 1 down towards the decoys and 1 up towards the carabiner. Will have to be wrapped around the line until tight. Your bigger issue will be potentially losing these on your hunts.

$1.99/4pack at academy

I got crimps on my lunch break at BPS, but I couldn't find any 400 lbs. mono.

I looked at the pvc decoy line and crimps, but they are a rip off compared to salt water leader crimps and mono.

The search continues...

Sorry, shouldve thought of that. You won't find 400# line anywhere in Shreveport. Gonna have to order it. You can find 100 yd spools for around $10 online I think.

400 lb mono will tangle less than 300. And 600 is even better, but it's harder to find in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas.

If you're making 5' rigs, get 2 spools and you'll be golden.

That is how many we did a couple years back. If you have help and cold beer, its no to bad. I bought heavy duty crimps and it was a bitch crimping with a big pair of pliers. We added a few dozen Dakota's this year and I just went with the pre-made texas rigs 3 oz/30 inch for $25 a dozen. Clipped them on in about 20 min.

What about .08 weed eater line? That's the same diameter as 2mm 400 lb test mono...
