Damn nice job. A few years back I bought one that needed some work. It was a stress reliever for the previous owner when he’d miss a putt.
‘90 something Club Car. I had to patch the body in several spots. It came out ok, definitely not professional. My paint job is all scratched now and the headlights I added are hanging.

That looks fantastic!
Did you go with some HD shocks on the back?

No, I thought I'd see how it drove first. Over the weekend, we had two of us up front, then two adults and my 5 year old son in the back seat, and the ride was pretty smooth. I was even happier that my welds on the seat frame held
Now for the next project, with the lift and the 20" wheels, I may need to go that route....

I just put HD springs on the back of my precedent. I took the smallest leaf off and it still rides like a tank. If you like the way it rides now, I would leave it. HD springs might be overkill.

What made you add the HD springs? Where are you driving it?

Read it on the internet. Basically, they say if you add a back seat, add heavy springs.
I bought it to drive on the beach at Grand Isle. I added the HD springs because I expect to put 4 people on it. I haven't done that yet, but with 2 people and some ice chests in the back, it rides like crap.
If you're happy how it rides now with a load, I wouldn't change it.

I don’t really know the differences in the stock DS vs the Precedent, but for a 15 yr old golf cart that came off a public course in Hoover, the ride is amazing. Plus it’s just going to be driven on mostly flat streets and yards.

I'm not either. But the stock precedent is 1 single spring. The HD is 4 springs.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And if you end up not liking the stock, you can always fox it later.

What is the general life expectancy of the batteries?

If you take care of them, I think you can expect to get at least 5 years out of new quality batteries.

My batteries are 7. They’re not as fast as they used to be and they don’t hold a charge nearly as long but they still work for what we do. Ride to the neighbors and drink beer.
