we agree that LA trust are different

I'm still not sure. On one side we've got,

quote:

the La Trust Code doesn't differ much from the Uniform Trust Code used everywhere else. Sure, some provisions differ, but there is nothing addressing this NFA stuff

On the other side we've got,
quote:

There isn't much that separates the La trust code from uniform trust code states but there are a few things that are different.
It sounds like Papercutninja fears minor differences could pose a problem if the ATF ever subjects the applications to more scrutiny and also likes the idea of a LA lawyer on your side if there are problems. Part of my problem is the lack of a nearby lawyer to manage this. I talked to one local guy who's never done one but said he would charge $600-700 which seemed a little high to me. Is this something that could be handled for me by, for example, by someone in Shreveport, Monroe or BR? What's the going rate for a lawyer to set up a gun trust?

I am living in TX right now and had an attorney in Houston set up my Gun Trust. I am expecting my silencer to be delivered in the next couple weeks.

Now my dilemma, I will be moving back to God's Country (Louisiana) in about a month or two. Is the established trust going to cause problems once I move back? I am awaiting a call back from the attorney so any info until then would be appreciated.

Papercutninja,
Thanks so much for the excellent info. Your comments about expected upcoming changes in the gun trust and tax stamp fee don't surprise me at all. In fact, I was expecting Obama to make an executive orders after Sandy Hook to implement similar restrictive changes. Sounds like I need to get going w/ the process. Again, I appreciate your willingness to share your experience and knowledge.
