JL Audio does some great work not sure on their prices for what you want though

I've looked at JL, BOSS, and Fusion systems

Adding an amp to push 150w/per speaker wouldn't be an issue (only price is a factor)... I've got a blank canvas to work with, and plenty of batteries to push it

I have a Kenwood deck and 4 JL audio speakers. Rarely use it as I enjoy the growl of my 2 stroke too much (read too much wind/motor noise). Even with the volume cranked, I can't really hear it while running. Generally doing 45-55mph and the occasional bump in the mid 60's. I can hear it best while washing the boat.

I'm all ears.. what would you recommend?

I'd rather not go through the hassle of cutting holes, wiring, etc if I had a better option that was loud enough to be heard over the 2 stroke

I have an Altec Lansing Mini LifeJacket2 already, but it's too small and not loud enough

I agree with the BT speaker idea way less of a hassle and cheaper...

Lol, how many watts are you pushing??

My girl (No pics) and I go cruise down the diversion to Maurepas or Blind River at least twice a month and would love some sweet cruising tunes we can jam to

But I grew up fishing Galliano on south to Grand Isle, and would love something that was durable in the salt environment, as that will be where we spend most of our time

So what is a good sound bar that'll take a saltwater environment pretty well, and be loud enough to over power a 2 stroke (thinking I'm gonna mount it on the console facing me)

Wetsounds and Jl Audio dominate the marine speaker market and are both really well made products. Trying to hear in a CC boat underway will be tough with the wind, let alone a 2 stroke. Your speaker placement looks good but would need to amplify if you don’t have super efficient speakers or a head unit putting out over 75w/channel.

I have bought all my equip to install this year in my boat (speakers, amp, head unit) and will be installing 4 in gunnels and a pair in the console to hear when swimming. I went with wetsound speakers due to efficieny experience and a Kenwood 5-ch marine amp to push them. Hoping they sound good underway.

Sorry but I’ve spent double you budget just on components.

I’m not aware of any BT soundbar that will do what you want.

I have a 90 2 stroke which some call the Harley of marine world, and she is loud! My first stereo setup screamed. it was Kicker 6.5's ($150 for 4) and a 400w Max amp, and a bluetooth controller for playing the music.

Kicker speakers

Kennwood AMP

entire setup is only $300

This set up lasted 4+ years.

In my new Boat im running (2) JL 8.8's and they are very impressive to say the least.

If that is your budget, just get a Wetsounds Stealth 6 sound bar and mount it to crossbar on your console. Bluetooth with an amp built in. If you want to add the stand alone stealth subwoofer to it later on, it's real easy and you don't have to change anything to do it.

The stealth 6 isnt as loud as the stealth 10 but it will be plenty loud enough for you to jam while running, especially if you mount it on the crossbar facing you.

A friend of mine owns Wetsounds and they stand behind their products. High quality stuff that will last in any conditions.

See one post above.

It has to be hardwired to a 12v battery but it is bluetooth with no head unit, amp, or anything else needed.

Wetsounds

Now if you want to jam to better quality while not having the motor running JL. But Wetsounds are made to hear while being towed behind a wake board boat. They project loud as hell. With that budget, I'd start with just two channels for now

I have JL 8s in boat and Wetsounds rev 10's on my tower

Why not put the speakers on the side of the center console? That would be an easier install. I run bazooka marine 8" speakers in my boat. Love their products, and their company is based in BR.

Wetsoundz are awesome as well, but expensive.

I will never do this again. I had it in my first boat. They point out to the world and its hard to hear in the boat compared to how the OP is going to mount them. if you can make them point at you, do it.

But like you said, it is an easy install, just not as functional.
