Looking to get my Father some new gear for Christmas. He is super finicky when it comes to his hunting clothing making noise when he moves. For years he has hunted in some Mad Dog gear dead silent fleece but my younger brother has quietly commandeered it off his hands. Would prefer not to go over the 150 range for the pants and 200 for the coat.
What ya got?

Look at Sitka and or kryptek. Obviously Sitka is expensive. I've found Kryptek to be a less expensive alternative to Sitka but it's really nice stuff. I have a pair of pants and a mid season jacket I love for deer hunting.

How quite is the kryptek stuff? I was looking at some Nomad integrator 2.0 stuff but I have no idea if it's quite enough. From my experience anything that's remotely waterproof makes to much noise. He is hard core old school. If he cuts or breaks off a limb clearing a spot to bow hunt he will literally haul it half a mile before he throws it down.

That Drake Nontypical is water resistant, thick fleece that is very quiet. I bought the set on sale, but think it is around $300 normally.

the under armour stuff comes in a silent weave as does the cabelas. both are quality, cabelas cheaper obviously.

That nomad integrator is loud. I was back and forth on it last year, but I found a video review on YouTube talking about/showing how loud it is.

I have the nomad southbender 1/4 zip and its super quiet and comfortable. I also have the nomad harvester pants and they are comfortable and quiet as well. Love all my nomad clothes. I do not have the integrator though.

Appreciate the heads up. I think as of now I'm looking at the Kryptek vellus jacket&pant.

Natural gear fleece line is quiet, but the sizing is absolutely horrendous.

Sitka - Equinox System I just got this setup. Amazingly comfortable, quiet, and convenient, and high quality/durable. I wore 1 long sleeve thermal, and a very thin 1/4 zip drifit pullover under the jacket in 40 degrees and was perfectly warm and had absolutely no bulk. I don't know how they do it with such thin layers, but it works.

Son gets a Sitka discount, so he gave me a jacket for Christmas a year or so ago. Excellent stuff. Quiet and warm.
I’ve had great luck with Cabelas Berber fleece. Quiet and warm.

I have some arctic gear that is nice. Always liked hush hide. Everything Drake I've ever looked at was loud as hell. Have they gotten better?
