Someone at work swears by these when they aren't cooperating. Had this same conversation after my last trip. He said throw it weightless so it still has that wounded action.

Definately frustrating when you paddle right over 4 of them all 20" plus and can't get so much as a nibble. I was throwing live shrimp but the hardheads and croakers would take it as soon as the bait hit the water.

I can honestly say I haven't used a shrimp for redfish bait in over 10 years.
In this situation, the fish (obviously) aren't actively feeding. They aren't hungry. They aren't gonna eat something just sitting there under a cork or on the bottom. What you need to do is create a reaction bite...which you can do by putting something that pisses them off in their face and twitching it.

Is Swifty in reference to how long you last in bed?

I have been catching them on the Gulp Chartreuse Minnow.

That looks pretty sweet!
That bait has been the death of many a Redfish in Delacriox/Fourchon....

Hildebrant spinner bait= best spinner for reds.
Be ready for some pissed off, hard hitting reds.
