Recommend a good outdoor book to read while on the stand

Next week I'm headed to the Hill Country for 5 days by myself. No gfs, buddies or work clients. Just myself.
Work and the hustle and bustle is dragging me down.
I normally bring my phone to the blind and even though it has it's conveniences, I feel like it takes away from the reason I am there.
I'll be leaving my phone at the camp the whole time.
Suggest a good book that I can read on the stand. It can be a collection of hunting stories or about adventure in the West/Alaska.
I've always been interested in Louis & Clarke's exploration of the U.S.

You can bring me.
I'll tell you stories
ETA: Wait a sec. Don't you make this thread every year? Or I just had the worst case of deja vu ever

To answer you for real. I just started "The Stand"
Not hunting, but post apocalypse. Has me hooked.

Not an outdoor book per se, but a great read while in the stand is "Dollar Cotton". It was written by William Faulkner's brother and it is very good.
As to hunting reads, anything by Nash Buckingham is fantastic if you like duck hunting.

There's a compilation of Hemingway's hunting/safari stories but the title escapes me. Also, look into "Horn of the Hunter" by Ruark (not a typo).

Jack London - The Call of The Wild
Read it in one day last year, probably about 115 pages but I couldn't put it down. Revolves around a dog's journey form a southern judges estate all the way to being a lead sled dog in Alaska..and all that happens between and after. Reads similar to White Fang, only reversed

I understand your concern and appreciate the sound advice. I will be hunting in a box blind the whole weekend so the likelihood of me injuring myself to the point of not being able to get back is slim.
