I am looking for a rangefinder for my son. He plays golf and hunts. Is there a good rangefinder for both? I don't want to spend too much but want something that will work.
TIA
TIA

I don't know Jack about golf but I found a Sig Kilo on eBay new for $125 a while back. I've ranged stuff out to 1k yards with it easily.

I've used my Bushnell golf laser for years in the woods. May be better things out there that will do both but Bushnells can for sure.

I have a Nikon Prostaff. Bought it on a cyber Monday deal about 5 years ago and have loved it. There are better but it does what I need. Want to say I paid like $230 for it.

I had a similar scenario a year ago. I like Leupold products so I called and spoke with a guy there who suggested an RX-1600i TBR/W with DNA. I found one new on eBay from some optics store for $279 (at the time they were typically around $500 as I recall).
It’s been great for both and I highly recommend it...especially if you can find a deal like I did.

I’ve had my cheapo Simmons for about 6 years now for golf and hunting. Haven’t had any problems and can’t remember ever having changed the batteries. Might have paid $60 for it
