Are yall just taking it on the chin with the price or can you negotiate them down a good bit when making an order?
From everything I have been told the only rebates that can possibly be used is the ones that are running at the time of delivery. Which makes it a crapshoot if you can't negotiate a price before ordering.

In on this, I'll probably be ordering a Maverick soon once I get the chance to see one in person.

This is the case for the last 3 trucks I've ordered. But there's always some kind of rebate at the time of delivery.
AllStar Ford(2) and Gerry Lane(1)

Were you able to negotiate a price before hand? 2k in rebates off of MSRP is still a lick to take.

No not really, it is what it is.
Once you have your build sheet and price, that's pretty much it until delivery, then you can apply whatever rebates are available plus the dealer can work with you. If you don't come to a price agreement, you lose your deposit ($1K) and walk. But neither party wants that so they come to an agreeable term. I've never had to walk.
It's never too late to start a personal relationship with an auto dealer/sales woman/man, which can help too.

Hurry up.
Ford just quoted my buddy one a 7.3 gas with 8 for bed xlt at 12-19 weeks.
Maybe he gets lucky at 6 weeks with the long bed option as some of those trucks are pre-built to a certain point then sit there until finished with an order. The long bed aren't popular and he said they may have something started already they just need to trim out.

I am getting a f150 crewcab with a 6.5bed, Maxtow and bigger gas tank,

Ordered a f150 tremor 7/19 and still unscheduled. I used x plan by becoming a member to Mustang club of America and since it was still a ‘21, they had some rebates.
You negotiate before the order and they can lock in rebates at time of order.
I gave up on the order though and bought a ram 1500 on the lot

The bad: You've picked the worst time to buy a new truck. Probably no discounts except existing rebates.
The good: You've picked the best time to trade in a used truck. You'll get top dollar if you're trading one in.
Based on my recent experience, it almost balances out.

I am assuming the GM will now have the 10 speeds so that was the selling point for me on the Fords, that and the 5.0 since it offers more power and torque.

Yes the GM's have the 10 speeds.
My '17 F150 had the 3.5 and 10 speed w/ the long bed & 36 gallon tank. The new Chevy has the 6.2, 10 speed and long bed and the F150 was smoother shifting and quicker. The Chevy also has 12 gallons less fuel capacity than the F150 FWIW.

A little inside info. Ford is getting ready to offer better incentives if you order online. They just told the dealers last week that instead of trying to increase inventory on the ground. They are going to keep them at a 50-60 day supply, Which is shite! Dealers are pissed! excerpt from article written about coming changes:
The COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting microchip shortage have caused Ford to reevaluate the way it builds its vehicles. The automaker plans to pivot away from packed dealership lots in favor of a build-to-order model.
Here’s what we know about Ford’s plans so far:
• Ford will reduce the number of new cars on dealership lots. It aims to keep inventories at 50 to 60 days' supply.
• The automaker will leverage tools such as Ford Express Buy, Ford Blue Advantage, and the Ford Digital Store to assist with the transition.
• Ford will begin limiting the incentives offered on dealership vehicles to encourage buyers to order online.
If Ford’s plan succeeds, it may prompt other automakers to follow suit, causing a seismic shift in the way cars are produced and sold in the United States.
1.This will be great for all of you who hate Dealers and think the are The scum of the earth. The manufacturers have been trying to squeeze the dealers out for years and Covid has finally really given them a path to do it.
2. Get ready to see who the devil really is. Dealers have been fading the heat and taking the blows for the manufactures for years. Customers dealing Directly with the Manufactures on customer related issues will be a cluster frick!
3. You can forget haggling The computer is not gonna negotiate with you!

So they are basically going to give rebates to to order online? That would be sweet.

Same rebates they are offering for you to by at the dealer right now, but you'll only get them if you order online once this starts. You wont be getting anything extra LOL!

But it sounds like you will be able to play them off of each other along with other dealerships now.

I was able to get GM supplier discount which knocked off about 8% off MSRP. My wife works for a GM supplier so I was able to get it but she had to be on the title. Not all dealerships will take it right now. This was on a Gas burner 2021 Silverado 2500. Costco had an extra $1000 rebate on Silverado's but I think its expired.
