Good, I hope you learn and enjoy yourself. Just keep your mind on the other guys shooting too. I am sure your rifle will have a few malfunctions and thats a great way to learn how to deal with them quickly while in a more stressful situation.

Doesnt it shoot 223 NATO as well?
Ive been looking at Bushmaster reps and that gun is kind of hard to find....or I could be looking in the wrong places

5.56 NATO and .223 Remington are dimensionally identical. The difference is pressure. If you have a 5.56 chamber, you can shoot the lower pressure .223 Remington. But a .223 chamber will take a beating from 5.56 ammo.

And actually the opposite is true of .308. 308 Winchester is higher pressure than 7.62 NATO. So if you have a 308 chamber, you can shoot both.

I found it used on Auctionarms.com for $1500. I couldn't pass it up at that price.

Just look around and I'm sure you'll eventually stumble on one. Or wait for my review to make a decision.

I was between the ACR,the SCAR 16s, and initially wanted a Barrett REC7 in 5.56. It was even harder to find and I could only find them in 6.8 SPC. And the reciprocating charging handle on the SCAR 16s was a deal breaker for me.

She is quite purty. Worth the extra dough.

Years ago I had an MK9 with laser grips and 6 magazines. I think I sold it for like $400 on gunbroker. I'm not sure what I was thinking.

I also had a Taurus 917 with 6 high cap mags (including 2 19 rounders). You can hate on Taurus all you want, but that thing always worked and shot really well.

Those 2 guns (plus Nibx Glock 26 I sold for $400) are my biggest selling regrets. Hopefully I've learned my lesson about selling guns.

Taurus has come a long way. Their guns are pretty good quality now.

Yeah, my brother wants me to sell him my Ruger SP101. I don't think I can do it.

Agreed. The CM9 is probably the smallest reliable 9mm out there ..

I am with you so much on this.

I wanted to try kimber solo sooooo bad but couldn't justify the extra money for it. After looking at it from a cost and reliability aspect, it was cm9, hands down.

Kimber solo was quite sexy, but this is a gun that belongs in my pocket. Not out for all to see

Furthermore, handGuns in general are made for protection , not a dog'n'pony show.

The Solo is real finicky with ammo. You can't even shoot 115 grain target rounds.

OUCH. That is brutal man. Hope you learned your lesson.

And I like Kimber Solo's looks and trigger but for a CC gun, I shouldn't have to get ammo that ONLY works for it. I should be able to get ammo that works in any other 9mm as well. That to me isn't practical, especially for over $1k.

Have to say I'm tempted to buy the Remington R51 when it's available.
I always carry IWB anyway, so if it's a bit longer that's no issue.

Not sure about Remington's ability to make handguns, but the R1 has a good track-record, right?

Well it's based on an old design that owners were a fan of. A lot of people are bashing the R51 but I happen to like what they're doing. There are hardly any new metal-framed guns coming out now. I like seeing companies do something different.

Now whether or not I will like it I have yet to determine.

Solo is finicky. I will say that hornady critical defense 115 gr works well with any pocket 9.

No one on YouTube comes close to the amount of viewers that Hickock has. He's just a real likeable guy. I also watch Sootch00, fateofdestinee, Theyankeemarshal, and Iraqveteran8888.

I also really like Colion Noir and Nutnfancy. Well, if I want to marathon through a video I like Nutnfancy.

Nutnfancy has sooooooo many haters ,but he actually made some great vids.... A lot of them. The anti glock folks can't stand him to the point of busting a vessel.

MAC military arms channel is also a guy that will continue to rise.
