As soon as he does it grab him (or her) and hold him down on his back while looking into his eyes and growling at him, showing your teeth. Hold him there until he quits struggling. Someone has to be the boss, if it’s not you it’s him.

I had one that started pulling that with premium treats like bones suddenly

First time we had some serious words and I took the bone and he got the crate.

Second time shortly after he was reminded that I could pick his arse up with the swiftness. And then after some time off his feet, i held him on the ground til he was good and done thinking he was able to dictate.

Didn’t hurt anything but his ego - but the reminder that he was very much not in control of anyone else and no one was intimidated by him… never so much as gave a dirty look again. Most loyal dude I ever had.

3yo pushing for position in the pack. It will most likely get worse and is difficult to fix at this point, at least by an inexperienced owner. Most cur lines don’t generally make great family dogs.
