I’ll give you one:
Kisatchie National Forest off the Caroline Dorman hiking trail, if you get out there around 6pm, stay near Black creek and when you reach the tallest pines, sit until dark. You should hear them fly up to roost, now creep out and creep back in before daylight. Easiest turkey kill ever!

Big lake has a few turkeys

Also 100 hunters and rattle snakes and cotton mouths.

And west Nile mosquitoes. Just not worth it

Sorry man, there is no best WMA public land turkey hunting in LA/MS. Its all tough and very pressured

Saw a group 10-15 in castor plunge one afternoon squirrel hunting in 1983. Bet there’s still some out there, hit me up and I will send ya a pin.
