Academy at JUBAN has 80-100 boxes. Couple different options. All behind customer service. 3 box max.

Academy in Katy puts their new ammo shipment out at 9am Monday’s. Line up outside and get your three box limit at customer service. Last week the only 9mm they had was hollow point box of 20 for $15.

In shortage, one might say no. But yes, for me, I prefer brass over steel.

I still have an ample supply and anytime I can pick up brass ammo, I will especially at a good price. Otherwise, I can and will wait.

Why anyone would want to shoot steel casing?

I had always heard the bad things about steel ammo, but my dad got a "good deal" on ammo once and it was steel. He was new to shooting and just thought it was a good deal. Shot a handful of the rounds through 3 or 4 good guns. Guns that had NEVER jammed since I owned them. The casing expanded so much at one point, that the round had to be very carefully forced out of the chamber after not firing. You could give me all the free steel ammo in the world, and I'd probably just find a way to pull the bullet and recover the grain to give to a reloader. Then I'd throw the casing away. That stuff is pure garbage.

My two 9mm pistols shoot steel fine. But yeah it’s not optimal. Canik sc and S&W SD9VE (which is the bargain basement S&W).

Because the market has gotten to a point that demand is high and supply is low. People will buy anything they need to qualify in a CC class or simply go and plink. Steel cased ammo is dirtier and not as high quality but most don’t care.

FWIW I’m a handloader with ample supply so I don’t really buy factory ammo anyway. Just an observation.
