Pros:
More power
better fuel efficiency
Cons:
cost a lot
can void warranty
can blow your engine up
this.
depending on the programmer you get, they are very easy to install.

You can get more power and improved MPG on those trucks fairly easily. You might blow it to pieces though if you don't do it right.

This would be funny if I didn't have skinny little bird legs.
Ramrod can confirm.

I have had mine on a duramax for almost 100k miles with no problems whatsoever.
That is nothing surprising considering it isnt a ford or dodge.
I have a tuner, ram air, and rrmoved all the dpf shite and installed new exhaust. Much more power and efficiency. Close to 4 more mpgs.

the DPF and EGR are like pulling an anchor behind your truck.
remove the anchor and you can realize both the increased power and the increased fuel savings.

I just need to know what the MOI is with a programmer, as opposed to without
Posted on 4/26/12 at 3:41 pm to BBMcGee
I am basically repeating what everybody else has said:
Gas motor: minimal gain but useful for switching tire sizes and tow tunes. ~$500
Diesel motor: done right, lots of hp and tq. ~$500-1,000
