Increased power and mpg. Mine took minutes for the guy to install.

Not sure if it's worth it in the new trucks. I have a 02 and they were a lot slower and sluggish. Programmer makes it go a lot quicker.

Don't know if anyone has said it...but an EGT gauge is an absolute necessity when installing a programmer or tuning your Diesel truck...part of increasing power is adding fuel...it definitely makes more power but also increases EGT's significantly...know yours and your trucks limits...

They have a display for it on the better programmers

Those EGTs can really climb quick when towing something. Definetly need a monitor. I have the Edge CTS and it has all the gauges.

What do you do for high exhaust temps. Is there an exhaust cooler. Or bigger exhaust outlet?

When that alarm goes off, you better be pulling over for a bit.

Thats really all i know. The only time mine has done it is pulling a dozer on a gooseneck in baton rouge traffic in the summertime. They cool off rather quickly.

Yes... but on most you still need to install the EGT probe(proper placement is a must for accuracy) unless the factory has one built in and the programmer can monitor the factory EGT by interfacing the factory computer

they will climb quick if you are running too big of a tune for load you are pulling...Switchable/on the fly tuning is a + for just such circumstances...

Usually an aftermarket Exhaust helps some...adding the optional larger turbo down pipe helps even more...on the dmax you can go as far as larger exhaust manifolds(or headers)and changing the up pipes...don't know much about whats available for the Ford and Dodge brand...
