We had twice as many hunts as last season and killed half as many ducks in SE La this year.

No, we hunt our own land as well as on the river. Who is this GB that you speak of?

G. Bolte, owns about 20 miles of river frontage from Natchez going north. He doesn't hunt them only takes pics of them. Feeding them about 1k lbs of feed daily. Might explain why they stayed in your area. I actually have his old place in the marsh.

Oh OK. I thought his first name was John. I have heard of him but his land supposedly starts further South than where I am and he is on the Ms. side of the river.

Just how he rolls. Used to be a 500 fine for shooting mottled ducks in the marsh after he paid for a banding project.

What is the legality of feeding, and not hunting, but hunting say a half mile away. We have a good amount of land and have always thought about the legality.

There is some language about this in the law books. I will let someone else provide the details but it is not legal.

Kinda like putting salt out then hunting on the only water source around, its illegal.

As long as you're not hunting over it you're okay. There is a certain distance requirement. Big oil company next to us has a feed spot they don't hunt. They do it to keep birds in the area.

That is what my understanding was, I thought he was across the levee from glasscock.
