Bad fuel line or vent cap. Do you have a inline primer bulb? Is it collapsing at higher RPMs?

Narrowed it down to fuel pump. Checked the dip stick and smells like straight gas.
I bypassed water separator. Not getting anything.

Doesn’t sound like a carb issue. If it’s dieing out under load you are probably sucking air in. There is a small black cap the size of a pencil eraser on the carb overflow . Make sure it’s not cracked or missing. Check all hoses and connections. Not saying it’s not the fuel pump, those little mechanical pumps do wear over time. You can get one at a local mower shop. Or go to autozone and get an in-line mr gaskit and wire to ignition key. I did my old PD that way so I always had positive fuel pressure. Also as someone else mentioned, get a small 3 gallon marine tank and a new hose with NO bulb or a new one. If it runs good like that your problem is in your fuel line or bulb.
If all that is good remove the top cover exposing the flywheel and coils. Check coil (plug)wires for cracks. You can fix with electrical tape if cracks are found.
