Sams club. Got me thinking. Just passed a black Max 6800 (8000 peak) with a Yamaha electric start for $799.... anyone have opinions on them? Better ones? Go brush less? Honda packs are of course the best but way pricey. They seem to also be identical to the Coleman power mate.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i have 2
honda multiquip 5000watts
coleman 6000 watts
love the honda but they are pricey
Here is what i will pass along. When you mothball them. Remove fuel tanks and completely drain after you run it out of gas. Drop the carb bowl and clean with carb cleaner. After, reassemble and run on intermittent spray burst from carb cleaner. Flush fuel line.
When ready to use add gas and check oil.

That's not necessary if u put stabil in the gas and run the carb dry

I sold generators for years, Hondas are best and the Honda EU generators I could fap to they are so quiet but come with a nice price tag

My no name POS from Sutherlands sat idle for 5 years with gas in it. Would not start. I know next to nothing about engines. New gas. Sandpaper on plug, and empty carb and it started right up.

perhaps not
but it the only sure way that it will start after sitting up, sometimes for 2 years or more.

I Bought a brigs and Stratton storm responder this week. 5500 watts with 8250 watts of starting power. Only had to use it for about 8 hrs before the power came back on . Now I just need Uverse to start working

Honda inverter should definitely be on your list of things to look at.

What do you plan on using the generator for should be the first question.
Eta, are you a cop btw?

Put some flexseal on the exhaust. Then spray some great stuff on a couple of pieces of plywood, then you have yourself a quiet Honda.

I always use stabil as a preventative thing. Never mixed the 2.

I'm just going to drain it, then run it dry.

I bought a Honda 3500 after hurricane Andrew in 1992. I used it last night.I run the gas out of it for storage. It started on the third pull.My only regret was not buying a higher wattage.
