Do you baws who have Polaris off road vehicles use Polaris brand oil? I find it much more expensive but is there any real difference? Ive read all the propoganda but was looking for someone who has used generic 5w-50 vs their ps-4 5w50. TIA

Amsoil is what I use in SxS, motorcycle, but not lawn mower or vehicles…

All of my polaris vehicles have always gotten mobil1 0w40.
It's cheap. It works.
But, the polaris oil change kit that is premeasured sure does look comvenient
Having said that, only polaris fluids in the trans and diff.

I started running Rotella T6 years ago in my four wheelers. It's JASO wet clutch certified and my lawnmower, generator, 4 wheelers have seemed to have no issues.

Way back i ran the delo synthetic as it wasnt wet clutch certified because of a boatload of moly, but they changed the formula and now its meh.

I use Rotella T6 5-40 in everything from ecoboost to tractor to lawnmower to generator including Honda and Polaris ATVs. I did the research and looked at used oil analyses on the Polaris 5W-50 vs the T6 5W-40 and the T6 was way better. My Polaris has a Gilomen tune and clutch kit and runs like a scalded dog at 8000 rpms and I trust the T6. It’s also wet clutch rated and can be used in about any dirt bike and Honda gearboxes. It get the T6 by the 2.5 gallon jugs.

Ranger crew XP 1000. Does 60 without even trying. I’ve done a hair over 70. I’m not sure how much faster it’ll go, but she’s definitely got more in her. It’s not even scary at that speed. The poly windshield starts to flex in a concave manner at that speed. It will (and it has) left streaks of rubber on dry pavement.

Changed my 2020 up in the Tennessee mountains while taking care of my brother. The oil filter was a bitch, but other than that no issues. Used Polaris brand oil and filter. The bad boy hums. Love mine and hope you do too for a long time.
I'd Definity recommend using the Polaris genuine parts and oil. Don't forget to reset your hours for the next change.

That was how I knew when we were pushing the old 900 too hard. The windshield would fold inward and rap you on the knuckles like an angry nun
