Actually, wave frequency is pretty important offshore, especially in boats under about 32'. If you hit some poorly spaced 2' waves, they can really put a cramp on your ride.

Our camp is a quarter mile down a dead end canal. The only people we have issues with are dumbass neighbors who don't understand the idea of mushing (props to whoever found the word).
