Had boat at repair shop for 5 months (that’s another story with Evinrude). So my boat stayed out in the elements all this time. Plastic around control panel has faded out. Any suggestions on how to get this back to the black color?

its easy, just use a heat gun to heat it and it will return to that new plastic look.

but you should remove anything like gages and stuff you dont want to heat up.

heating plastic brings the oils back up to the surface of the plastic for that new plastic look.

I never cease to be amazed at the things I learn on this forum.
I'll "file this away" for future use.
