This OG?

yup,,, das it.... so simple,,, can't mess anything up... ive been using the charcoal and electric brinkmans for 35 years or so...

you can take the water pan out,, take the heat source and set it on top rack, put a rack over it and grill steaks or anything else on it... about a 1 inch steak for 7 minutes on each side is a perfect med. rare...

Can you use this indoors? Or at least store it indoors after use? My grand mother had something similiar but shes gine now and the electric smoker with it. Been looking for something similiar because my apt has banned smokers and grills.

Hadn't tried the electric one but the gas one we have at the camp & i have one at the house. When at the camp we'll throw something on it in the morning, go make a deer hunt, get back & drink beer till we ready to eat. As long as you keep it on low & some water in it she's good to go.

I have had gas and electric. I like the gas much better.

Wife bought me one of those $400 electric smokers for Christmas a few years ago because i had to have one. My $150 propane is much easier to deal with. Just my opinion.

Well that makes me feel better bout my decision. i'd cooked alot on the one at the camp & wanted one for the house. When me & the Mrs went to get one she wanted the electric but i didn't know anything bout them.

That's what I hear. I'm anxious to try. It was caught in a trap and it is young.

I learned my lesson with this one. It is the KISS saying.. keep it simple stupid.

Back on topic. With my wild hogs, especially big sows or boars, I inject before I smoke them. I use hickory and pecan shells. I then pull the meat and cook down with onions, bell pepper and bbq sauce in a big pot. Good eats.

I will invite anyone when we do this again. I had to tweek my recipes when we got BIG wild hogs. Was a little gamey so we modified.

A lot let a big boar or sow lay in their tracks, we improvise to take the nastiness out. We have even been known to corn them out in a pen before they are supper.
